A highly stylized, beautifully executed interpretation of the pre-Hindu and pre-Islam era goddess, Sri.  The goddess is identified with Lakshmi as both goddess’s are believed to have sovereignty over rice and fertility - life, birth and prosperity. Today, Dewri Sri is extensively worshipped on the islands of Java and Bali.
