Buddha, Rattanakosin Style

Gilded Bronze, red pigment remains

6” H x 5” W

19th C.

Wear to finish

With pleasant facial features and wearing bejeweled robes, this beautiful Buddha is a fine example of Buddhas produced during the Rattanakosin Kingdom era, 1782 – 1932.  Originally, there would have been a separate mandorla that slotted into the back.
